Hi,

My name is Germaine, and I am a licensed hair stylist and a certified hair loss replacement specialist located in Georgia, USA. When I first started Ada Leroux Hair, it was to help people dealing with medical-related hair loss. Still, in my research of learning more about hair loss and trying to find products to fit that need, I quickly discovered that black women, in particular, are severely under-represented and underserved within the hair loss community. I found this to be upsetting. Even today, if you go online and google hair systems, cranial hair prosthesis, or medical wigs, the response is images of mainly white people; I want to clarify that I am not against these companies as that is their “chosen” client base. However, I believe that black women have the right to have high-quality products too such as hair systems, cranial hair prostheses, and medical wigs and my goal is to create a company that addresses the hair loss needs of black women.

Ada Leroux Hair aims to design and create a high-quality line of cranial hair prostheses (medical wigs) and integration hair systems specifically for black women who need them. With this in mind, my request is to obtain funding to help design, source raw materials, and manufacture cranial hair prostheses, to have a private location to meet clients, to hire a team to assist me in running my company and start manufacturing these products right here in the USA.

About Us

Ada Leroux Hair, LLC  is state licensed and certified in medical hair loss. The services provided are for medical-related non-surgical hair restoration. Our focus is on patients dealing with hair loss caused by medical illness or treatment. With patient collaboration, a specially designed cranial prosthesis is custom-made and fitted to look like the patient’s natural hair. In some cases, we can do an initial live virtual Zoom consultation or travel to patients’ * locations to start the process of recreating their lost hair. Once the patient has received the cranial prosthesis, we also provide a care kit that includes a complimentary care kit with follow-up within one or two weeks to see how things are going.

So, what is a cranial hair prosthesis? Well, let’s start with what it is not. It is not a traditional fashion wig worn by most but rather a specially designed head covering made for people who have lost their hair. This hair loss can occur for many reasons due to medical treatment. Hair loss can be temporary or permanent. A cranial prosthesis offers patients who’ve lost their hair a high-quality, comfortable cranial hair prosthesis to replace hair that is lost. In most cases, health insurance companies usually cover it. A cranial hair prosthesis requires a medical prescription from your medical provider so that the insurance company will pay for it.
